The Independent newspaper looks at the respect for democracy shown by Mrs May towards the House of Lords and Lord Heseltine in particular, disabling her government from the benefit of the enormous experience he has to offer.

The huge risks being taken by the Conservative government hijacked by UKIP is on the basis of a clear landslide of opinion summed up beautifully by a commentator in that article:

A minority of the elegible voters are taking the UK out of the EU.
